For 30 years Nebraskans have suffered from a property tax crisis and the state has failed to make substantial change. Jayden will work to reduce the tax burden on working Nebraskans, farmers, ranchers, and small businsesses. He will fight to transform the tax system to end high property taxes once and for all.

The State of Nebraska must take on a larger responsibility for funding public education and ultimately reduce local schools’ reliance on property tax levies to stay afloat. A quality education is essential to our children and the future of Nebraska communities. He will continue to defend public schools that are the centerpiece of small towns.

Family farming and small businesses are the backbone of the rural economy and our local communities. Government policy should support and protect family farms as opposed to agriculture monopolies. Jayden supports farmers and ranchers’ right to repair. He knows incentives for small businesses and reliable rural broadband are crucial to revitalize Main Streets and keep our rural way of life alive.

Nebraskans can make their own decisions without the government telling them what to do. Jayden will always defend American freedoms. Individuals, parents, and families don’t need politicians in their doctors’ offices, libraries, and schools.

A huge tax burden on Nebraskans comes from unfunded mandates imposed by the state on local governments. Jayden will support eliminating unfunded mandates to reduce burdens imposed by the state and decrease local taxes on residents.

Nebraskans deserve good roads and safe drinking water. As a State Senator, Jayden will work with officials at all levels of government to bring in funds for infrastructure construction and maintenance. He would specifically examine water quality concerns in the Plattsmouth community.

Law enforcement deserves a partner in the legislature who will collaborate with them substantively on public safety. Jayden will listen to our sheriffs’ deputies, police officers, and others in the law enforcement community to ensure they have the tools and support needed to keep our communities safe.

Responsible gun ownership is not only a constitutional right but a longstanding tradition passed down by generations of Nebraskans. We must support the 2nd Amendment and protect Nebraskans’ rights to hunt and defend themselves. Responsible gun ownership also means we should encourage firearms safety, keep firearms out of the hands of criminals, and restore our permitting system.

Nebraska farmers and ranchers know how important good stewardship of our land, air, and water is for a healthy state. We are deeply tied to the land. We breathe the air and we drink the water. Elected officials in Nebraska have to protect it.

Young families require affordable, accessible childcare to fully participate in the workforce and build our communities. Jayden supports policies and initiatives that expand access to childcare in Nebraska.

There is a vast need for new and affordable housing in our communities. Jayden supports incentives to build affordable housing and reduce the barriers to homeownership for the next generation of Nebraskans.
